HOW TO APPLY

Students interested in applying must meet certain criteria to be eligible for consideration.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students must currently be in their junior year

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents

Students should have a strong interest in healthcare, science, education, arts & culture, or business

*GPA 2.75 or higher documented on transcript or by guidance counselor letter

90% Attendance Record documented on transcript or by guidance counselor letter

Prospective Students

Future Connections, which will celebrate its 14th year of successful operation this summer, focuses on supporting three core competencies:

  1. Career development
  2. Skill development/academic learning, and
  3. Personal development

The program offers students extraordinary opportunities to participate in:

  • Laboratory, environmental and botanical research experiments
  • Video presentations and museum tours
  • Medical and surgical observations
  • Fire safety training
  • Information technology methodologies
  • Curriculum development

The program is a partnership between University Circle Inc., area school districts and cultural organizations, and Greater Cleveland businesses.

Culmination Ceremony
At the program’s conclusion, a Future Connections Culmination Ceremony is attended by students, parents, mentors, and guests. During the ceremony, examples of student presentations, video documentaries, and research projects are shared.
